CFGB is the umbrella organization for a network of 15 Canadian churches and church-based agencies working to end hunger in developing countries worldwide by:

(i) supporting international programs to meet immediate food needs, reduce malnutrition, and achieve sustainable food security; (ii) influencing improvements in national and international policies that contribute to ending global hunger; and (iii) increasing and deepening the engagement of Canadians in efforts to end global hunger. CFGB has a privileged position with DFATD, being the only Canadian NGO to date to receive long-term institutional support for its humanitarian operations.
